Danielle Cooper – Owner
Danielle is a passionate freelance writer and communicator currently living in Hamilton, Ontario. From a young age, she has enjoyed writing short stories, essays and poems in her spare time. In high-school, she was introduced to the world of graphic and web design. It was there that she designed and maintained numerous personal and design websites.
A career in writing and design was inevitable for Danielle. Following high school, she enrolled in a one-year, introductory college course to radio and television broadcasting and journalism. She then worked as a radio journalist for a summer where she received invaluable industry experience. A career in radio journalism, however, wasn’t Danielle’s passion. Her creative drive and entrepreneurial spirit sparked her decision to return to school to complete an advanced diploma in Business Administration – Marketing.
Feeling somewhat unsatisfied with her career prospects, Danielle made the decision to attend Mohawk College and complete her post-graduate certificate in Public Relations. It was here that Danielle was able to combine her love for writing, creative design and media and find something she was truly passionate about. During this year she was able to write and design for various established organizations within the Hamilton community. She also created and ran social media campaigns to support her client’s vision and needs.
Currently, Danielle is working as a Corporate Communications Assistant in Hamilton. She is also volunteering for a local not-for-profit organization completing PR related tasks. She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators, Golden Horseshoe Chapter. In the future, Danielle hopes she can continue to nurture and grow her career in the public relations and communications field and continue writing and designing both professionally and as a hobby.
